Anne
Rice was born by the name of Howard Allen O'Brien October 4th 1941 in
New Orleans La. She married the late Stan Rice, an American Poet and Artist. Stan passed away from a brain tumor in 2002. Her children are Christopher Rice a novelist whose latest novel is "LIGHT BEFORE DAY" and daughter Michelle who passed away in 1972 from leukemia.
Anne is well known for her fiction of horror and fantasy books and stories. Her pen names include Anne Rampling and A.N. Roquelaure. Anne's books include:

Anne also has type 1 diabetes and she is a diabetes advocate. Anne went into a diabetic coma in December of 1998 with a blood sugar of 800. Anne says her diabetes nearly killed her. If not for the quick thinking of her late husband calling 911 she would have passed away within 15 minutes. Anne over looked the beginning signs of diabetes because she was having problems with chronic indigestion. She also developed writers block along that time frame due to diabetes. Anne's horror stories could include dealing and coping with diabetes.
