A new way to eat for many, a diabetic’s diet is an extremely healthy diet.  Varied and
Interesting, with lots of color added to our plates.  In no time you will begin to feel the
difference.  The heaviness of eating a grease-laden meal is gone.  Instead you will be
introduced to layers of fresh, healthy foods.  Salads that burst with flavor, veggies with
“snap” and fish or meat prepared to make your tummy smile. Whole grain breads or
crackers, cheeses, nuts and beans for variation.

Read and enjoy this issue and feel free to let us know if there is anything else that you
might like to see in a future issue.  Budding writers are encouraged to come join our
team.

It is our desire to bring education, humor and recipes in a way
that is a little different than we do daily.  Because diabetes is a
real trial for some, we feel that adding some humor and
inspiration is very important.  Our members are as varied as the
five fingers on your own hand.  Each has a different set of
needs to be met.  Whether it is a financial burden that may
require a resource that we can provide, or a specific health
concern that needs to be investigated, we will try to help you.
Depression is another element in the make-up of diabetics some
times.  We wish to encourage you beyond it, until you are able
to realize "I am going to be okay".
